How not to get scammed.

Internet can be used as an amazing tool for making and saving money but with every good thing just aswell comes few bad things.  Now you don't want those bad things so lets cover the basics on how to avoid them. There are thousands of sites out there that are only out there for one thing, and that my friend is your bank account, paypal account, your credit cards and everything that can be turned someway into money. Now we don't want to lose money do we? We want to save and make it. Ok lets get to the first thing.

1.Get Knowledgeable About Online Scams.

This is the best weapon for saving your money from scammers. go through topics online about scams on different webpages, get a foundation of info about online scams. Also a good way is reading latest news about scams, you can create a RSS feed on google news with a keyword like "online scam" or something similar, that way you will get the latest news about online scams directly to your computer.

2.Get your money making/saving info from trustworthy sources.

There are many good sites and also blogs out there that will teach you the best techniques on how to earn a dime from here and there but there are also many and even more sites though mostly blogs that will lead you to falling into a scam scheme. Those blogs and websites can be easily recognized. They look cheap, they don't really have any useful info on them and possibly the only thing you will find on those sites are scam site hotlinks and referral  links. Now we will get to the 3 thing about staying safe.

3.Background Checks

ALWAYS and i mean always do background checks if you are going to engage financial transactions online.  Try to find some contacts from the website: Phone number, E-mail, Address etc. Also check bulletin forums and even Yahoo can help. Just make sure that people talk good things about the company.

4.Ignore Pop-Ups

You are the 999.999.999.999 visitor Click here to get your prize. Now my question is, did you really fall for that? Well then theres your problem. Don't click on pop-ups that will have that kind of information, most of the pop-ups contain online scams and you want to avoid them. You can do that by simply updating your security software so that pop-ups wouldn't even pop.

5.There are no free meals.

Don't fall for those magic deals where the company will assure you that they will make your 50 $ into 5000 $ in a week. There are good deals out there but you will have to find them by using the methods we have gone through if you are looking at a title and saying " Wow, thats just way good to be true" then your right it most likely is.

6.Always check your downloads.

This is not entirely on topic but you can still get scammed through downloads aswell. People stick keyloggers and all sort of other viruses in files that they upload and once you download them and open the file the virus will gently float in your system finding each and every keystroke you make containing your Paypal login and password. So that is the reason why you want to have your computer security up to date, latest anti-virus programs and spyware protection. You can get more info about how to secure your PC and what software to get from diffrent Tech related blogs, bulletin forums and even google.
